What does «horita» mean in Dominican Spanish?

horita
later (not now!)
| Meaning | later (not now!) |

«Horita te llamo.»
I will call you later.
A trap! In Mexico «ahorita» means right now. Dominicans say «horita», dropping the first «a», and it means LATER — could be in an hour, could be tomorrow. For right now, say «ahora» or «ya».
